My project is a family craft heritage ever since 1850. With a loan from MFW, I bought the essential material, and they promoted my products that uphold a national identity.

Etimad

Etimad has not heeded the opinions of her community on how a working single divorced mother should act; instead, she harnessed all her energy to provide food for her family of 6 and provide them with the living they deserve, standing in the face of the culture of shame which fueled the disapproval of her family to the fact that she is working.

She sought the help of Microfund for Women and applied for funding to buy the needed cooking ware to kickstart her home-based business. Etimad was met with immense support from MWF, and once she obtained the fund, she bought all the necessary equipment and started accepting orders from her neighbors, and now her business is her and her family’s sole source of income.

Today, she is proud and happy of her achievements and the impact she had on her children, who now appreciate their mother’s efforts and sacrifices to secure them a decent life. She advises all women not to sloth and wait for help from anyone but to be self-reliant to achieve one self’s dreams and build a better future.
