After getting diagnosed with cancer and underwent ongoing treatment at King Hussein Cancer Center, Obeida did not hesitate to start her business to support her family.
Obeida took refuge in Jordan with her family of 6. She kept looking for a source of income to support her humble business until she discovered Microfund for Women. That is when she was able to obtain funding to start her business and buy the needed supplies.
Today, her project (Al Karam) is the sole source of income for her and her family; Obeida aspires to open an independent store in her region.
As for her experience with Microfund for Women, Obeida says: “Excellent, and I am thankful for the huge financial support it provided. I was able to set up my business and support my family, and I had a good monthly income.”
“I encourage women with no income to go to Microfund for Women and apply for funding to start their own business.”
